Concept:

I have recently been working on a series of paintings inspired by the type of topiary trees and bushes in Hampton Court just outside of London. I crave the serenity and isolation in these images, and have often visualized them becoming reality. My monument would be to bring my landscape to life (using a scale that would fit the space provided). My ashes would become part of my imagery forever. It's a fitting tribute for an artist, like Van Gogh resting within Starry Night.
