Application & Submission
The Final Curtain is interested in innovative, imaginative and bold submissions. We are NOT seeking artwork that conforms to current motifs regarding death. When submitting please feel free to elaborate upon any philosophical and/or spiritual underpinnings to your piece in the concept area provided.
All entries submitted are eligible to be mounted in our Web Monument Gallery. Since we do not seek any rights to the submissions other than those rights required to publish the work on this site and in any publications resulting from this site, artists will have the option of soliciting private or corporate sponsorship on their own for their monuments.
If a submitting artist chooses not to build their monument or it is not within their means, by exhibiting here their concept will be available for commission consideration by non-visual artists (writers, dancers, musicians, etc) who wish to join the Final Curtain experience.
Submission Requirements:
- The submitting artist must be at least 21 years of age.
- The artwork must represent a permanent edifice or urn with structural integrity.
- Monument concepts should be plausible and not pose a safety threat to humans or the environment.
- Artwork must be submitted in one of the following digital formats: Photoshop (PSD), BMP, GIF, JPG, or CPT.
- Only one digital file may be submitted. This file must be 1 megabyte or smaller.
